Planning issues

If you are making a planning application or commenting on one that affects you the Society may be able to offer advice. The aim is to protect the character of the Parish.

One of the biggest issues for the community at present is the application by the Department for Education and Skills to build a State Academy school in Much Dewchurch. Following consultation with the community, we found that the vast majority of residents are opposed to this application on the basis that the development is simply too big. The Society is running a Campaign Against School Expansion to organise local objection.

To date CASE has:

11 March 2008 - Notification received from the Planning Inspectorate that both Appeals by DfES Academies against the decision of Herefordshire Council were dismissed - see the Inspector's Report.
